Could you take prenatal vitamins that contain biotin, choline, inositol, and fumaric acid name of vitamin brand nordic berries?

Could you take prenatal vitamins that contain biotin, choline, inositol, and fumaric acid name of vitamin brand nordic berries?

I do not: Like the formula. They contain 9 grams of carbohydrate and the amount of thiamin (as are the doses of all the vitamins) is too low to metabolize that amount of carb. You can look it up on line. This expresses an incredible ignorance of industry in vitamins and foods. In pregnancy, first you need a pristine diet and the vitamin supplementation should be ordered by your ob/gyn. ...Read more

Are supplements from direct sales companies safe?

Usually: You might ask for 3rd party assays of purity and strength. Some ethical companies provide them. I would not buy from a company that does not. The gmp seal from the natural foods association is a purchased approval and does not reflect any quality testing. ...Read more

Pros&cons Heath benefits to drinking a tablet of the premium herbal"natures way"activated charcoal 100capsules/certified280mg dietary supplements?????

Unknown: It is not natural to eat activated charcoal. Also, such products are not real medicines but are sold as supplements, meaning their exact contents, effects (good or bad), purity, etc., are uncertain. When thinking about activated charcoal, one should as questions like, "Does the charcoal really know what to bind and what not to bind?" Probably safest to save some money by avoiding such supplements. ...Read more

Is there any brand in market that sells b-carotine derived vitamin A, instead of fish oil derived vitamin A? Fish oil gives me anxiety.

Is there any brand in market that sells b-carotine derived vitamin A, instead of fish oil derived vitamin A? Fish oil gives me anxiety.

No,but not necessary: I'm not aware of any preformed Vit A supps from vegan sources, but this isn't necessary as we can convert beta carotene to Vit A. Some people do this more efficiently than others but everyone does it to some degree so if you eat enough food rich in beta carotene or take it as a supp. you'll get adequate A. Dairy also contains A.Even if fish oil gives anxiety,A derived from fish oil probably won't. ...Read more

Are raw plants derived vitamin supplements as effective as synthetic vitamin ones?

Chemistry: Any thing, vitamin, drug, rock, is a chemical substance with a distinct structure That structure can occur naturally or be made in a lab or factory. Vitamin C is still Vitamin C. How is nordic naturals vitamin d3, or other vitd3 supplements?

How is nordic naturals vitamin d3, or other vitd3 supplements?

No better or worse: When it comes to multivitamins & mineral supplements, you don't need fancy labels & brands. Yes, there are claims re solubility etc but bottom line, there aren't even any studies showing clinical benefit from multivtamins. With that said, rather than worry about brand names & labels (aside from USP DSVP), ask your family doc to measure 25OH vitamin D. Keep it over 30ng/mL to protect your bones. ...Read more

Are herbal product companies ripping us off?

Are herbal product companies ripping us off?

No: Consumers have a choice whether or not to purchase a particular herbal product. We should educate ourselves on the evidence of their benefits prior to purchasing them for a particular purpose. Is walgreens or whole foods the best brand of vitamin E supplement?

Is walgreens or whole foods the best brand of vitamin E supplement?

Neither: Depends on who makes it for them as neither makes their own. You need "mixed tocopherols" to benefit your health not just vit e which is usually just one form of the many and is a synthetic which is cheaper but can lead to bad outcomes. I use pure encapsulations brand, other good quality ones are from orthomolecular, metagenics. Read label and remember you get what you pay for! ...Read more
