Do I really need to take vitamin D if my level is 29, and if so, then how much? It is barely low. I have muscle twitching and tingling, too.
Optimal level 50-80: While 29 is just below the "normal range" the optimal range is 50-80. Taking D to raise your levels may not necessarily help you feel better but evidence suggests a higher level reduces risk of cancer, heart disease & autoimmune disease.See http://tinyurl.com/2chkcer & http://tinyurl.com/ly3wn3n Having normal iron,B12 & D doesn't mean you have no vitamin deficiencies.See http://tinyurl.com/mzrkbx8 ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
