If the goal is to gain muscle be sure to have a good diet with protein, a carb, fresh veg and fruit. Fried foods are empty calories low in nutrients.

I am trying to find supplements for sev.osteoporosis, are Vit K2, chia seeds, vit d3, vitamin c magnesium & calcium safe & beneficial for bones?

Yes

These are good choices. Some calcium & magnesium supps are much better absorbed than others- I like calcium citrate/hydroxyapatite & Mag. taurate/glycinate/citrate. Your dose of calcium & magnesium should be roughly equal. About 5000 units of D is good with 15 mg (not mcg) of Vit K2. Consider Strontium & Boron. See www.drdach.com/wst_page6.html

Dr. Randy S. Baker answered:

I take a multivitamin plus vitamin C,D,all B's with niacin and fish oil, calcium, red yeast rice, SHOULD I TAKE THE VITAMIN MAGNESIUM with these & why?

It depends

Magnesium
First of all, magnesium is a mineral, not a vitamin. Vitamins are not a substitute for a healthy diet but it is reasonable to take supplements for prevention. Most people don't need calcium supps- evidence suggests this increases risk of atherosclerosis! I don't advise Red Yeast Rice for most. Magnesium deficiency is common- see my comment for a link to see if you have symptoms of low magnesium.

I'm getting my mom some vitamin b12 and some vitamin c and quercetin.the quercetin has 100mg of calicum in it with magnesium isit ok for parathyroid diease?

See below

Parathyroid_ultrasound
Be careful with supplements that contain calcium for pts who have hyperparathyroidism , since serum calcium is usually high already. Additional calcium is usually avoided. Pls show supplements to her dr to be sure that they are ok to take. Take care
