Xanax (alprazolam): Not common, but yes.Get a more detailed answer ›
Serotonin effect?: I don't believe anyone knows the exact mechanism, but vivid dreams are a well-known side effect of ssri antidepressants (prozac, zoloft, celexa, lexapro, (escitalopram) and paxil). Since the commonality of ssris is that they all increase the net effect of serotonin, this may somehow trigger more vivid dreaming. It's not harmful unless you can't sleep. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Insomnia: A poor sleep technic perhaps. Insomnia can occur when the environment where you sleep does not facilitate this important process. Make sure you have no distractions in the room like a tv, laptop. Ipad, smart phones, books, etc. . If still having problems may consider evaluation for restless leg syndrome or depression. Exercise during the day, not at night. Tell your physician about side effects. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

What could cause frequent pvcs (benign) daily? Bupropion XL 150mg 3x daily, Prozac (fluoxetine) 20mg, or the combo? Also take 200mg modafinil, levothroid 88mcg.
Your medications: The Modafinil is a stimulant which can cause abnormal hearth rhythms. Your levothroid, if not properly dosed could do it as well, ask your doctor for a blood test to make sure that dose is not too high for you. Being 58 years old, you could have heart problems unrelated to the medications. You should see a doctor to get this evaluated. ...Read more

Unusual?? Hmm!: Unusual for the meds used in narcolepsy to develop tolerance or tachyphylaxis, and much of what you describe involves psychiatric symptomatology.
