Vitamin B Complex High Blood Pressure
Is it safe to take a multivitamin and a vitamin B complex pill everyday if you have high blood pressure?
A blood pressure reading has two numbers: a systolic blood pressure and a diastolic blood pressure. The systolic blood pressure is the maximum pressure the blood exerts on the vessels when the heart is beating. The diastolic blood pressure is the pressure the blood exerts on the vessels in between heartbeats. Hypertension, or high blood pressure, begins when the systolic blood pressure remains above 140 or when the diastolic blood pressure remains above 90. Hypertension can be a result of increased blood flow through vessels or increased resistance to ...Read more

Yes: Omega 3 fatty acids have a mild blood thinning property. You list pulmonary embolism as one of your conditions. It definitely wouldn't be enough anticoagulant to treat that very serious condition. B-complex does not have anticoagulant properties. Taking sertraline 200mg a day. Ok to take a high strength vitamin b complex too? I've read up to 18g of inositol helpful for ocd. Under extreme stress.
Vitamins & OCD: You could take a b complex vitamin without interacting with your sertraline -- also you're right about inositol and ocd: http://tinyurl. Is it safe to take levothyroxine50mg, adipex37.5mg, vitamin b complex, c & e, magnesium & iodine supplements in morning? I'm on atenolol25mg @ night?
Safe not advisable: Taking all those medicines together is probably safe but not advisable. Levothuroxine has to be taken on an empty stomach with a glass of water and no bother meds. This means an hour before or 2 hour after a meal. Food and other meds affect absorption. Vitamins and minerals best absorbed with food. Adipex should be taken with a meal I believe. ...Read more

I am using 300 mcg biotin 1 per day. And with this tablet I m taking vitamin B complex, vitamin E 200mg, and multivitamin. Is it ok?
Yes as long as...:
That is fine. None of the things you are taking are likely to be toxic as long as the Vit E you are taking is natural with mixed tocopherols; there is evidence synthetic E (dl-alpha tocopherol) is toxic & even natural E should contain mixed tocopherols. Yes: A multivitamin will seldom supply optimal levels of vitamin c, so I often advise that people take additional vitamin c. Some people will benefit from higher intake of b complex than many multivitamins provide and there is no danger in taking an additional b complex. What can boost my energy and mood? I heard dhea is good? I'm 23 female currently only taking vitamin b complex & vitamin d3. Thanks!
Don't fool with: Mother nature! Dhea pills generally don't contain much dhea, and even if they did, dhea is metabolized into cortisone, estrogen and testosterone -- and you don't have any way to control which it is converted into. Why take something that can't help you and can potentially harm you? Don't get your medical information from friends, tv or internet scams. How about getting counseling rather than rx? ...Read more

Do I take vitamin b complex with magnesium or can I take vitamin B12? For better absorption of magnesium. Currently also take vit D3 thanks
OK but not 4 absorb.: It is perfectly fine to take b complex/b12 with magnesium but won't enhance absorption. Magnesium is best absorbed on an empty stomach ; b vits can cause stomach upset on empty stomach. B vits, esp. B6, often work in synergy with mag. The best-absorbed forms of mag. Are glycinate ; taurate; citrate is ok too. Epsom salt baths ; topical "magnesium oil" are also good ways to get magnesium into you. ...Read more
Vitamin b complex caused me to break out in acne, after taking it for a year, how long will it take for my skin to improve? I've stopped taking it.
There's no telling: Trying to figure out what's causing one to have acne is futile. Ignore all "pop" ideas and start using topical benzoyl peroxide 1-2x daily, perhaps 5%. It's not pleasant but it's your best friend. If it doesn't clear you, your physician can add prescription strength Rx. My acne remitted when I was 50; yours will too, someday. Until then, manage it like the serious medical problem that it is. ...Read more

Period pain: Heavy painful periods can be controlled by birth control. Other alternatives are oil of primrose twice daily, natural Progesterone if not on any hormones, using Motrin 800mg 2x/day one week before the period to decrease pain and bleeding; eating less animal fat including dairy since animal fat may affect your hormone balance. See your doctor if this doesnot work for further work up. ...Read more
All sites where I inject im vitamin b complex are bruised. Sites where I inject vitamin B12 are not. Why?
Did I misunderstand?: You're a young adult who lists no terribly serious illness for which you would require injectable vitamins of any sort rather than vitamins taken orally. If someone has told you that "injections are better", perhaps because they are painful, I would question this advice. You clearly value your health & i'd urge you to reconsider injecting yourself at all, or get with a mainstream dr. ...Read more

Is it ok to take Vitamin B complex capsules regularly for a long time? Should I take the zinc ones or the non zinc ones?
Vitamins: There is seldom any need to take vitamin supplements in the USA with a balanced diet, but if you do take them follow the directions and do not take more than one each day and it will not hurt you. Is 1000iu the daily dosage I should be taking (vitamin d3) I'm currently also taking vitamin b complex & panax ginseng. I'm 23.
It depends...: This depends on how much vit d you get from the sun. In spring & summer about 10 minutes of exposure to midday sun allows us to make enough d if you don't use sunscreen. In fall & winter months most adults need 5-8000 iu/day to achieve optimal levels of vit d. Testing your d levels can help you determine your needs. See http://bit.
