Vitamin B 12 And Warfarin
It depends on: if you have any nutritional deficiencies, reasons for a nutritionally incomplete diet or malabsorption syndromes. Remember if you don't have any defined nutritional deficiencies you are better off getting your micronutrients like the B vitamins from whole foods rather than from supplementation. Alternatively if all you have is a B12 deficiency then you should be fine with a B12 supplement. ...Read more

Yes: Omega 3 fatty acids have a mild blood thinning property. You list pulmonary embolism as one of your conditions. It definitely wouldn't be enough anticoagulant to treat that very serious condition. B-complex does not have anticoagulant properties. If you are taking coumadin/warfarin, tell your doctor about all the medications and supplements you are taking. ...Read more
Okay to take b vitamins w be yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol)? I have low levels of b 12. Started taking b complex vitamin. But since be Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) has b vitamins could this be toxic?
B-vit ↓ed odds toxic: Study the Beyaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol and levomefolate) pi: http://labeling.Bayerhealthcare.Com/html/products/pi/fhc/beyaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol and levomefolate)_pi.Pdf. The b viatmins, water soluble, are generally the least likely to become toxic and Bayer reports only folate, not all the b vitamines, as present in beyaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol and levomefolate). No but important: As far as i know vitamin b6 will not help you conceive but taking Folic Acid and iron is very important. Folic acid supplements reduces the risk of birth defects in half and spina bifida (open spinal cord in the baby) by two thirds. Iron is important for the production of red blood cells in pregnancy. These and other important vitamins are found in an otc or prescription prenatal vitamin. ...Read more
See below: The appropriate dose of biotin depends on several factors such as the user’s age, health, and several other conditions. At this time there is not enough scientific information to determine an appropriate range of doses for biotin. Keep in mind that natural products are not always necessarily safe and dosages can be important. Be sure to follow relevant directions on product labels and consult your pharmacist or physician or other healthcare professional before using. There is no recommended dietary allowance (RDA) established for biotin. The adequate intakes (AI) for biotin are 7 mcg for infants 0-12 months, 8 mcg for children 1-3 years, 12 mcg for children 4-8 years, 20 mcg for children 9-13 years, 25 mcg for adolescents 14-18 years, 30 mcg for adults over 18 years and pregnant women, and 35 mcg for breast-feeding women. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Vitamin D was low 17nmol/l.I took vit D supplement 10,000 IU for 2month it become 156 nmol/l .should I take supplement always ?!or stop¡
Depends on sun exp.: 156 nmol/l = 62 ng/ml which is just where you want it (optimal levels are 50-80). But if you stop the levels will likely decline, so it seems wise to continue 10,000 iu/day. The only other way to get significant amounts of D is via exposure to mid-day sun without use of sun screen. If you don't get sun, then it is wise to continue supplementation. Ttc, taking vit B6 100mg, 500mg vit c and a mum to be multi vit as luteal phase 9-11 day once pregnant should I stop vit B6 and vit c straight away?
Why?: Vitamin b6 and vit. C are totally safe during pregancy. Is strongly advise everyone take at least 1000 mg of vit c 2x/day as a preventive measure and feel it is wise during pregnancy. Your pre-natal will probably provide adequate b6 (though many people benefit from higher doses than many pre-natals supply) so it may not be necessary but there is no need to stop it "straight away.". ...Read more
Which vitamin d should I take to help decrease psoriasis break outs...Vit d 1000..Vit d 2000..Vit d 500 with 1200 calcium..Stores have huge selection?
Be careful.: Regardless of what you have read on "natural health" web sites, there is no credible evidence that oral vitamin d is an effective treatment for psoriasis. High doses can raise your calcium levels to the point where you can develop kidney stones and other serious medical problems. 800-1000 iu is a safe daily dosage to prevent vitamin d deficiency. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Depends: Different items work for different people, but many patients report a better sense of well being with a b complex vitamin, and with significant vitamin d. Depending on your latitude and sun exposure, you may or may not get enough vitamin d from sun. You could consider trying 3, 000 iu of vitamin d. Also there is some evidence to suggest that methyl folate also helps improve a person's mood. ...Read more
