Can i take vit c, glutathione at 7.20am, medication(antibiotic,nocolut,painkillers) 11.20am, biotin, l-lysine 3.20pm n same medication at 8.20pm?
There are a number: of unanswered questions here but I will go ahead and make a couple of comments. I don't think the timing of when to take your supplements is an issue. It would be unusual to have an antibiotic and painkillers that are only dosed twice a day, and if they were, they should be close to 12 hours apart. Nocolut, a progesterone, would only be once a day. Prescribing doctor(s) can clarify. Good wishes:) ...Read more

Can I still take my food supplements like vit. C, E atc. while under medication? I'm taking co-amoxiclav augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) now coz I have strep throat.
Should be ok: Taken supplements can be taken with antibiotics. Be cautious with Vit E as it can occasionally lead to a thinning of the blood. Always inform your MD what supplements you are taking before starting any medications. A balanced diet often makes supplements unnecessary. http://www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/multivitamin,vitamins.html ...Read more

Is it possible for vitamin C in orange juice and ascorbic acid to affect high blood pressure medication?
Yes and no: Vit c in normal doses does not impact BP meds. Orange juice and other sweet liquids (all juice, soda, gatorade, etc) will increase your blood pressure - this will cause a relative decrease in the effectiveness of your meds. Liquids with over 10 cal/serving (except non-fat milk in moderation) are not good for you. Sweets in liquid form increase blood fats, belly fat & ultimately blood pressure. ...Read more
I'm using plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) 200mg and prednisone 10mg for rheumatoid arthritis, can I take vitamin C while using these medications.
Yes: Vitamin c is fine to take while taking these medications. Not sure why you would take it, though. Recent studies have shown that your food should provide you with enough vitamins so if your food is inadequate, dietary modifications are necessary to get it where it should be. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Drug interactions with niacin atenolol vit c magnesium iron Zoloft (sertraline) melatonin and armour ?
Epocrates check: A quick check on my trusty med database program reveals 3 main negative interactions with those meds listed. Two of them are with armour. The armour interacts with both the iron and magnesium making the thyroid med less absorbed, so separate these vitamins from your armour by at least 4 hrs. The other major interaction is atenolol and niacin. Less cholesterol lowering effect and overlowering of bp. ...Read more

I happen to notice that after taking my hbp medication that the veins on my hand, opposite my palm, enlarge. Could there be a direct connection? Aging
Yes: This is a very astute observation. Medication to reduce blood pressure often contain what are called vasodilators which dilate blood vessels including the veins. This will result in more blood pooling in the veins which will be observed as the veins becoming enlarged. This pooling of blood helps to decrease the peripheral resistance of the body to decrease the blood pressure. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
