How much gap betwen antacid & B12 sublingual 1500mcg. can we take multivit, calcium carb(500mg) same time as B12 supp? how much gap for vit c & b12?

Wouldn't take: antacid at the same time you are taking your supplements b/c you are reducing UR stomach acidity further that you need that to digest or help your MVI (multivitamin) get absorbed better. B12 can be taken alone sublingual. It's not digested. You can take it along with your MVI (multivitamin), and Vitamin C. Space your calcium tablet separately as it can act like an antacid itself (Tums?) Greens can interfere with Ca absorption. ...Read more

B12: this low will likely cause dementia, spinal cord degeneration and peripheral neuropathy. Keep your level above 550 for the rest of your life. Recovery takes about a year in a young person. I suggest you take liquid sublingual weekly for 3 months then bi weekly thereafter. Its important to check a level after you cut back to twice a month. Use 1 1/2 dropper and hold it under the tongue for 30 sec. ...Read more

Please what's the difference between pernicious anemia and vitamin B12 deficiency.my iron levels are perfect.I'm getting injections for vitamin b12.

Intrinsic factor: Vitamin B12 is present in meat and animal protein foods. Absorption of B12 occurs in the intestine (ileum) and requires intrinsic factor (IF), made by stomach cells. In pernicious anemia, IF production is deficient, and results in anemia, a reduction in hemoglobin/hematocrit. One can be vitamin B12 deficient without becoming anemic and/or without having deficient IF. Best wishes:) ...Read more
