Can the medication topamax (topiramate) cause palinopsia? I'm on it for frequent migraines and have started noticing trailing in vision and sensitivity to light.
See eye doctor.: I do not think that palinopsia or having trailing images, as a specific complaint, is listed as a known complication. This medication, however excellent, has been known to cause significant eye problems that can be irreversible. Such things as narrow angle glaucoma can also occur. I would ask for the pressure in your eyes to be checked now and see your eye doctor ASAP. ...Read more

Why do I have sever headaches in back of head and neck blurred vision vomiting and sensitivity to light?
I have developed a relevant increase in myopia and a blurred vision due to light sensitivity 3 days after cataract surgery. What can be the reasons?
Woke up with vision sensitivity, as if there was flashing all around. After a few minutes my vision went back to normal.
Could be migraine: Some people have a visual migraine (visual symptoms with no headache) with flashing in the peripheral vision that resolves after a few minutes. Symptoms like this might also be from low blood pressure encountered right after awakening that resolves as the pressure normalizes. In both cases, there should be no risk to the eyes or vision. ...Read more
