May be normal: It is normal in thin individuals to see / feel your pulse in the upper abdomen. In that case there are no symptoms . It would also be normal to have a bounding pulse with exercise / fever/ anxiety etc. If you have additinal symptoms chest pain ,shortness of breath, dizziness then further evalaution may be necessary ...Read more
6w 4d pregnant with fetal pole, yolk sac ...heartbeat detectd...but seems gestational sac is irregular...sign of miscarriage?
Don't worry: The most important thing is that the fetus has a heartbeat. Did they tell you an actual fetal heart rate? Sometimes the gestational sac looks different. There could be a nearby fibroid or subchorionic hemorrhage. Signs of a miscarriage are uterine cramping and bleeding. If you are not having those symptoms I would not worry about this. The sonogram can be repeated in 1-2 weeks. ...Read more
Concerning: If you are truely 8 weeks you most likely should see a fetal pole. I suggest a hcg titer to confirm dating. A common issue here is that you may be not as far along as you think. ...Read more

Possibly: Do you know the actual measurements ?There is a guideline that can be used called the 5-10-20 Rule for Crown Rump Lengths and Gestational Sacs > if you have 5mm CRL you should see heart beat, this should be by/at 6 weeks >if you have 10mm GS, you should see a yolk sac, if not then nonviable >if you have 20mm GS, you should see a fetal pole, if not then nonviable. Again these just guidelines. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My gestational age is 6weak and fetal age is 4 weak but no foetal pole or heart beat seen in ultrasound. Only smal gestational sac is seen. Pls guide.
Early pregnancy.: During the early stages of pregnancy, the fetal age calculated by your lmp and the fetal age by the ultrasound can differ. This is frequent and can be a normal occurrence. Depending on the size in millimeters of the gestational sac, one might not see a fetal pole in a very early pregnancy. Seek the advice of your OB and they will follow your hormone levels and re-ultrasound you if necessary. ...Read more
U/s at possibly 7w5d gestational sac and fetal pole measuring at 6w1d but no yolk sac or heartbeat. Miscarriage or miscalculation?
Dates could be off: I would not expect to see definite fetal heart activity at 6wk 1dy. A repeat ultrasound in one week will resolve the question. If the pregnancy is viable there should be appropriate interval growth and definite fetal heart activity. If not, then there had been an early fetal demise. In cases of blighted ovum a fetal pole does not develop. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
8 weeks pregnant ultrasound showed 4 weeks.fetal pole n yolk sac not seen gestation sac seen is everything alright?its my first baby
Most likely, YES: Ultrasound is superior to your period in dating early pregnancy. A gestational sac is the first sonographic sign of pregnancy and appears about 4 1/2 weeks. Next is the yolk sac at about 5 weeks. The fetal pole with a heart beat at about 5 1/2 to 6 weeks. So, yes, it appears your pregnancy is progressing normally. ...Read more
