What would be the reason for having a patient who's had subtotal colectomy with Ileostomy placement undergo a Fluroscopic Single Contrast Enema test?

Doctor removed 18 polyps last colonoscopy, next colonoscopy if find any might need surgery to remove section of colon! What if I elect non-surgery?

Possibly: Bowel preps are taken to assure that the colon is relatively clean as the scope is passed so that even small lesions in the mucosa can be visualized. Many of the preps contain polyethylene glycol which absorbs liquid into the bowel. This may help but you may need a stool softner. ...Read more

Do GI doctors perform anoscopes and rectoscopes during a colonoscopy? Can it be requested or are anoscope/rectoscope exclusive to proctologists?
