Taking phenrgan for viral inner ear infection. Does that help with dizziness or should I be taking something else? Other things do to help?

Could be useful.: Phenergan (promethazine) is an antihistamine-antinausea medication. Rx Antivert or otc Meclizine have also found to be effective for the vertigo associated with inner ear maladies. These are anti-motion sickness medications. Also available is otc dramamine or dimenhydrinate which may prove useful, too.
