Gabapentin and physical therapy may help wth these. Also a neuropathic complication, constipation is a significant concern since hard stools predispose to serious bacterial infection. Patellofemoral pain: The best brace is no brace. Making sure that your hip abductors and vastus medialis are strong. Also making sure that your patellar mobilization is good by stretching the lateral retinaculum is paramount. In the short term consider mcconnell or kinesio-taping.
