Is computer game addiction different from video game addiction, online addiction, or internet addiction?
All the same: Addiction to anything means that you are not getting the most out of life and your relationships with family and friends. Limit your time on these things and make your life and relationships your priorty. On your deathbed you will remember the people in your life; not the hours you spent playing world of warcraft. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Yes: All addiction is unhealthy; however, spending a lot of time playing video games is not neccesarily bad unless it is leading to predictably negative consequences in your life.. A former patient of mine who spent a lot of time on games, got a job working for a games development company getting the kinks out. If there are negative consequences, counseling may be appropriate. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

What's the best way to get the best price for a movie star smile? Insurance, military discount? Ukraine? Would a dentist do a ten interest free payment plan for social security?
So : So many questions like this are asked in the avvo forum, so i will try to explain a few things for you to consider before you begin treatment. My response is not directed at you personally, but in general for everyone who asks questions like this. The cheapest price is not always the best treatment. At the same time, neither is the most expensive fee the best treatment. You are contemplating an extensive professional service, you are not shopping for a gallon of gas or looking for the cheapest diapers at costco. This is a service to be performed by a licensed professional who has spent a minimum of eight years learning how to do what you ask. After that, dentists usually build an office and spend countless hours building a practice, establishing ourselves as trusted professionals, and take countless hours of continuing education, again, to be able to do what you ask. The expertise to even begin to treatment plan a case like yours commands a fee which is commensurate to the skills the dentist has honed over countless years of experience. Dentists in your area cannot compete with practices in the ukraine. Our fees are different because our regulations and expenses and costs are different. That is not to say you cannot go overseas, if that is what you think is best for you. I am sure there are wonderful practitioners there who can help you. But what if you do have a problem with your treatment 6 months or a year down the road? Are you traveling back and forth the the ukraine for treatment? Probably not. It is your local dentist who will tell you what your problem is and that your work needs to be redone. So now you are paying for it twice. What was saved? If you had it done here in the first place, and there was a problem afterwards, there are safeguards to protect you via the local and state dental societies. I do not think you will find the same safeguards overseas. Fees vary from office to office, as do financial policies. I cannot help you with those, you will have to work that out with the dentist who will be treating you. What you might try doing, and what i suggest, is to get recommendations from friends for at least two if not three trusted dentists in your area. Go for a consultation, allow them to examine you, and ask for a treatment plan, with fees. You are getting two or three opinions, and you are "interviewing" each dentist and their office. See which one makes you feel most comfortable and instills the most trust. You might be pleasantly surprised that the fee is not only less than you thought, but not the most expensive out of the three. Hope this info helps, and best of luck achieveing the smile of your dreams. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Not health question: Yes, you face a dilemma, although this is not a health question, except to note that withdrawal is likely if Klonopin (clonazepam) is stopped suddenly. Clonazepam is easily detected on drug screens ; lasts a long time in the body. Maybe be honest with the new job ; hope for the best? As a doctor, not a job counselor, i can't really say.
