Vibration In Lung
I've been having a deep persistent wheezing vibration in my lungs for almost 2 months now. What can it be?
Deoxygenated blood enters the lungs from the right side of the heart and travels to the lungs. When you inspire, oxygen flows into the lungs, transverses the capilliares and attaches to hemoglobin down a gradient. At the same time, co2 diffuses into the capilaries and is expelled with exhalation. Oxygen rich blood then flows to the left side of the heart and into the ...Read more
When I take a deep breath I feel vibration in my lung. As I cough it goes away. What could it be? AM I dying?
Probably not now!: Vibration with a deep breath may be coming from mucus or fluid within the larger airway tubes. The fact that it clears with coughing is reassuring. Do see your doctor to allay your fears. The problem with life is that nobody gets out of it alive. But here's hoping you have MANY healthy decades ahead! LGromkoMD ...Read more

Vibration, seems my left lung. Lower. Know its not back muscle. Inside body. Have been out of breath for 3 days. But has improved today. Started today?
While listening to vibrations near lower left lung, whispered pectoriloguy - saying 99, the Percussion seems slightly dull. CT scan ok?
The heart? Subjectiv: Pectoriloquy & fremitus from percussion r subjective, "adventitious" sounds heard by physicians w/ a stethoscope & felt by fingers, respectively. Detecting differences (from L to R but also over time) takes much practice & skill. Both sounds generally point 2 something "not air" in the chest but not necessarily the lungs. I've been misled by adventitious sounds on the left b/c of an enlarged heart ...Read more

When placing both hands over both lungs and saying 99, should the vibration felt be equal right and left. The left has seemed dull (for several years)?

Why when my husband talks does he experience tightening in lower abs/lungs and a vibration that goes to his head it is dizzying and causes anxiety?
Cramps and vibration: The feelings of vibration is usually caused by small muscle contractions and relaxations. Often too small to see. That is very similar to a cramp which is the same thing but it keeps recruiting other muscle cells to contract and not relax. What you are discussing is probably due to some type of stress injury. Women sometimes experience this due to restricting clothes or exercise injuries. ...Read more

At your age, with a: Normal pulse and BP during event, no chest pain, unlikely cardiac. Vibration and buzz are good descriptions but do not fit with a typical diagnosis in that area. Hard to tell: Well, no individual advice can be given here, but if one is concerned about the dangerousness of a cardiac symptom it would appear prudent to actually have a physician listen to your heart or do other examinations. Heart pounding: To really know what your heart rhythm is, you will have an EKG which is of value if your symptoms occured during the 10 seconds that the EKG records. The best test is the wearing of a Holter Monitor for 24-48 hours with you're writing down any symptoms and when they occurred. This will determine if any cardiac rhythm abnormality actually occurs during your symptoms. If not, anxiety may be a cause. ...Read more
Had head cold that moved to my throat & chest. Have coughing & now every once in a while feel like a vibration in right boob area. What could it be?
When coughing...: When you cough you are expanding your chest wall which is wrapped (so to say)on muscles. Whenever you make erratic movements like when you cough hard you may irritate those muscles, so this is most likely what is going on. Underneath your breasts there are large muscles resting over the chest wall. On another note, if your cough gets worse, breathing issues or chest pain see your doctor ASAP for exam. ...Read more
