Is it normal to feel 1 lymph node in neck? Its like more flat oval... Couple mm big. Just never felt it before. Went to ENT twice- he says im ok-
Size matters: In adults we usually shouldn't be able to feel lymph nodes. Having said that we're not usually concerned until we feel something that is one cm or larger. Soft, easy to move lymph nodes, especially in the posterior neck, behind the sternocleidomastoid muscle, are fairly common. Not from medication: A swollen tender lymph gland is highly unlikely to be from taking a new medication. Lymph glands are situated around the body and serve to trap infectious organisms(bacteria or viruses) to prevent their spread to other areas in the body. Lymph Node Swelling: Greetings. An enlarged lymph node should be evaluated and treated. In my practice, I would treat you with an antibiotic. After 14 days, the node should have shrunk in size.
