Should I even have break days? I'm 16. From Sun.Tues.Thrs.Sat. I do 11 sets 30 push-ups. Off days I do 2 sets of 120 vertical leg crunches.
Push-up and crunch: exercises don't require "break days" the way that heavy weight lifting does because using your own body weight does not strain the muscles enough to injure them. Light-weight exercises such as push-ups will make muscles toned and strong, but will not make them become significantly larger. A lot of practice: And some strong shoulders. Realize a handstand pushup is really an inverted military press. So unless you can shoulder press your own body weight a handstand push up will be all but impossible. 'Perfect' push-up : You could just widen your arms( working more chest and less triceps) and do more reps at each workout... You could purchase ( 2)'perfect push-up ' discs ( inexpensive )which you 'turn out' and 'turn in' as you repeat each standard push-up . I have these and they really do work. Best of Luck! ...Read more
