What causes verruca?

What causes verruca?

Virus: Verrucas are warts which grow on the soles of the feet. These are non-cancerous skin growths and are caused due to the human papilloma virus (hpv). A verruca is by itself painless, but due to pressure exerted by the body weight, it can produce pain. Due to the body weight, the verruca gets pushed into the foot and it looks flat on the sole of the feet.

My foot has been very sore to walk on due to a verruca that has been treated (salactic acid only works) then back for over 2 years. What can I do?

My foot has been very sore to walk on due to a verruca that has been treated (salactic acid only works) then back for over 2 years. What can I do?

If I understand: You, you are stating your foot was treated two years ago for a wart and now it is still sore. This should not be the case, something is wrong, perhaps, it is unrelated to the wart and biomechanical in nature.? I assume the wart is gone?

What is the treatment for verruca?

Warts: Each night before going to bed soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar, apply it to the wart and then hold it in place with a band-aid. Leave it on all night, or if you like, 24 hours a day but change the soaked cotton and band-aid each evening for a week. The wart will swell and may throb as it reacts with the vinegar and then start to turn black within the first two days and in two weeks gone.

Are there any verruca remedies or treatments?

A wart?: I have read that, believe it or not, for a smallish wart, one can apply duct tape and leave it on until the wart goes away. If the duct tape comes off, apply some fresh duct tape. It may take some weeks. Also, there are over the counter preparations. Finally, a dermatologist can either freeze or burn it off, after administering a local anesthetic of course.

I would like to get rid of verrucas, fast!?

Abrade them: Verruca are viruses that lodge in your skin. There is no good antiviral that works, so the safest way is to irritate the verruca so your bodies immune system kicks in to fight them. That's why duct tape works. Topicals also burn the verruca but you need to continue until the microscopic cells are also killed.

How can I remove my verruca?

Lots of ways: You can use the liquid nitrogen, liquid nitrous oxide (this is what I like to use), topical acids, dermal scraping. You can also try oral cimetadine (400 mg three times a day for 12-16 weeks). This is very safe and had the side effect of getting rid of warts for many people of adult size and weight (japma november 1, 1995 vol. 85 no. 11 717-718). Laser treatments and surgical removal too.

Verruca's, what do you do for this?

Verruca's, what do you do for this?

Several treatments.: You can try over the counter plantar wart removers, but be careful: I've seen them do more harm than good. Other options your doctor might offer include cryotherapy (freezing the wart), electrocautery (burning the wart), laser treatment, or several different topical chemical treatments. If the treatment is typically uncomfortable, your doctor can numb the area before proceeding.

Is it weird my verruca bled like stink?

Not if you...: ...Bit it or sliced it or otherwise tried to treat it yourself; warts have a pretty good blood supply. If it started bleeding all by itself, it could be something that *looks* like a wart, such as a pyogenic granuloma, which is made of blood vessels and bleeds "like stink" even when we remove them.
