May be risky: Taking Fluoxetine, a serotonin reuptake inhibitor, along with a triptan, a serotonin receptor agonist, increases the risk of serotonin syndrome.The syndrome consists of mental status changes, autonomic dysfunction, and neuromuscular abnormalities. However, studies have shown that people with moderate to severe depression and/or anxiety can be even more treatment resistant with just one drink (alcohol is a CNS depressant with increased anxiety as it's metabolized).
