Treat diabetes: The usual treatment for acanthosis nigricans (velvety skin spots) is to treat the underlying disease, that is diabetes and obesity, if the patient is obese. The better the control of blood sugar and the less obesity, the higher the likelihood that the acanthosis will be lessened. ?yeast: Under the breasts and in and around the groin are common areas for yeast infections to occur, but not the neck. Neck discoloration can be caused by cosmetics,jewelry or perfumes.
