My fiance hurt his wrist at work looks like a vein xploded swollen large dark blue spot on wrist should we be concerned about the bleeding under skin?

Treat symptomaticly: Injuries to the soft tissues of the body below the skin cause swelling and can also cause the veins in the skin below the injury to bleed. This is what causes the area to become black and blue. Over about a week the body reabsorbs the blood, the swelling subsides and the area heals. The initial treatment is ice to the injured area, elevation and compression usually with an ace wrap. ...Read more

Can you tell me is blocked by a twisted vein. Can that result in internal bleeding?

Probably not...but..: Spontaneous rupture of a vessel here and there in the body does happen to some people like subconjunctival hemorrhage, cva from bleeding congenital av fistula/malformation, etc. Clinically, it doesn't matter because some degree of venous tortuosity here and there is common in many parts of body; the more and more frequently the tortuous veins are, the older we become.

I cut my top knuckle on a vegetable slicer earlier today, it won't stop bleeding no matter what. Looks like a small vein, pretty deep. Help!

Use a pressure banda: If you put pressure on the knuckle for 10-15 minutes, it shiould stop bleeding. But if it still continues to bleed briskly, then you need to go to the er to have stiches placed. There may indeed be a bleeding vein or artery which may need to be tied with a knot. ...Read more

My dad had a ripped vein on the superficial surface of his testicular sac. Bleeding but stopped after applying gauze. Could something else be wrong?

Scrotal bleeding: The scrotum has a rich supply of blood vessels. Additionally, scrotal tisane is thin and soft. A cut on your arm of ace bleeds less because the firmer tissue "tamponade" the bleeding (tissue compression.)
Rare issues could be tumor, inflammation or infection. If a lesion persists more than 2 weeks, see urologist ...Read more

Make your way to your Family Doc for an evaluation. He may need to take an x-ray or refer you to a surgeon to figure out location and an approach to bringing this foreign-body-removal issue to a conclusion! ...Read more
