See Vein opposite Radial Artery pulsing bulging in time with heart is this Ulnar Artery ? Not seen so pronounced in Opposite inner wrist, normal?

Pulsation: The vein most likely is touching the radial artery and moves as the artery pulsates. If this pulsation is much more noticeable than the pulsation of the left radial artery, I would check the blood pressure in both arms to see if there is a significant difference and to see if there is abnormally high bp in the right arm. A vascular surgeon could also check for an aneurysm of the right radial arter ...Read more

My neck vein above my left collarbone is always very visible almost bulging w/pulse. I've never had this before. What could cause this ?

Normal variant?: It's possible that it could be a narrowing of the vein between there and the heart, or a clot in the vein, but either of those would be extremely unlikely in a healthy 20 year old man without a significant surgical history. The more likely cause is that it is just a normal variant. We all have a little abnormality or asymmetry with one thing or another. ...Read more

What causes bulging vein/ artery in neck with visible pulse? Is it a sign I'm too skinny? Or a different underlying condition?

Common finding: Many people are thin enough to have easily visible neck veins and arteries. when you are lying down, these vessels are more prominent and the veins often become difficult to see when you are upright. if your vessels are more prominent than normal (a doctor's physical exam is needed), it can be a sign of a more serious vascular condition, but if you are otherwise healthy, that is very unlikely ...Read more

Probably not: I agree with drs. Hansen and d. Ipl might work for very fine spider veins but if your veins are bulging, you are liekly to be disappointed with the results you get from ipl. I would recommend seeing a vein specialist (phlebologist) who can evaluate your legs to make sure that there is no undersying vein trouble. If there isn't, then smaller veins can probably best be treated with sclerotherapy. ...Read more

What : What you are describing sound like large telangectasias or spider veins, or may be true varicosities - it is hard to tell without looking at them. These are in a common location and can be due to reflux in the great saphenous vein or reflux from a perforating vein. In any case, you should probably have a full evaluation from a vascular surgeon or licensed phlebologist before having them treated. If they are a symptom of a larger problem (like the afore-mentioned reflux) they are unlikely to go away with pulsed light or even injection until the causitive problem is treated. In general, injection is probably more effective than pulsed light for larger veins. ...Read more

Weak : Weak pulse and bulging veins in one limb could indicate a serious problem with the blood vessels in that region. Such problems, which include something called arterial dissection and something called venous thrombosis, could threaten the limb or your life. These sort of symptoms should be evaluated right away. Problems with the large arteries and veins in the neck or in a limb are usually first tested with an ultrasound, using a probe placed on the skin. There is usually no discomfort involved. ...Read more

Neck vein starting just above left collarbone bulges even in resting standing position. Leads to visible pulse where you would chk it. Possible tumor?

Neck vein starting just above left collarbone bulges even in resting standing position. Leads to visible pulse where you would chk it. Possible tumor?

Veins are soft to fe: If you place your finger on this area and try to take a feel , you will know if it feels hard, firm or soft. Unless it is firm to hard in feel, it is probably just a normal vein. if you are still unsure and concerned then you need to have your doctor examine you and also check inside your chest with a Chest X-ray to make sure that there is no tumor inside your chest. ...Read more

Well,: ...I would want to know is it bilateral or one sided. When children/adults cry, shout or play the trumpet both jugular veins become visible. It is normal. In case it is one sided check with the pediatrician or pediatric cardiologist. If no concerns i.e. Nothing was found clinically or by echo i would sleep well. Pulsation can b arterial or venous and 4 the dr 2 differentiate. ...Read more

My 3 yr old's jugular vein bulges easily (not just crying or screaming) and also runs horizontally vs vertically. I can see his pulse. Concerning?

No: A child's head is relatively large for his body compared to an adult, so the anatomy is slightly different. If you can see pulsations, it is highly unlikely that his venous pressure is elevated. Unless he has been previously diagnosed with a heart murmur, etc., there is no cause for alarm. ...Read more

I have pain where the pulse in my neck is. Is something wrong with the vein?

Carotidodynia: There is a viral infection of the carotid sheath, the connective tissue surrounding, the carotid artery, the jugular vein, and the vagus nerve. If a viral infection occurs in this sheath, so called carotidodynia (pain around the carotid artery), it is benign and warm soaks or a heating pad and otc analgesics may help. If not resolved in 2-3 weeks, see a vascular surgeon. ...Read more

Why are my neck veins bulging lol?

Why are my neck veins bulging lol?

Increased pressure: The act of lol results in a valsalva maneuver, where holding of the breath causes increase in the chest pressure. This pressure acts upon the veins in the chest, and is pushed upwards to the head and neck area, resulting in bulging veins. This is a normal situation, so keep on lol; it's good for you. ...Read more

What is the bulging vein on kneecap?

What is the bulging vein on kneecap?

Varicose veins.: Varicose veins are a result of malfunctioning valves usually in the saphenous system. The first step in treatment would be to obtain a venous reflux ultrasound to make the diagnosis and help plan treatment which could be laser or radiofreqency closure of the valves usually with microphlebectomies and possible sclerotherapy or ultrasound directed sclerotherapy. You should see a vein specialist. ...Read more

Could be dangerous: as it sounds like you may have an inflamed vein or even a blood clot. You could try warm compresses for 10-15 minutes every hour or so to see if it goes down. If it does not, or if a red streak goes up your arm or the bulging gets larger or more painful, get to a doctor. ...Read more

What is the reason for bulging veins in the booty?

Buttock veins.: Buttock veins are not the routine for location of varicose veins and when they occur, sources for them such as the saphenous vein, branches of the saphenous vein or even reflux from pelvic and ovarian veins need to be considered. A venous duplex ultrasound of the leg veins may help and, sometimes, a CT scan of the pelvis may be necessary. See a vein specialist. ...Read more

Multiple options: I don't think that there is a single best way but there are mutiple options including sclerotherapy, ipl, laser, veinwave, veingogh and micro needle radio frequency. The size of the veins and the training and experience of the treating physician usually influence what treatment is recommended. My usual treatment is sclerotherapy or laser for very small veins. You should see a vein specialist. ...Read more
