Vaseline Intensive Care Herbal Medication
Are there any natural remedies for anal fissures that are proven to work? I applied vaseline and stopped nitroglycerin. Aloe vera plant, coconut, etc?
Unproven but helpful: I don't know of any "proven" to work but that does not mean they won't work- there is little research on natural remedies as no one can patent ; profit from them but they often help. For things to try see http://www.Optimalhealthnetwork.Com/anal-fissures-s/191.Htm ; http://drwheatgrass.Com/conditions/anal-fissure/ ; http://healfissures.Com/ ; http://earthclinic.Com/cures/anal-fissures.Html. ...Read more
Many: There are a number of proven remedies for symptoms of female menopause. The key is dissecting the wheat from the chaff. In other words, there is a lot of false claims and promotion in menopause remedies. I have written a book called "a woman's guide to hormone health" that outlines many natural, proven remedies. Do your homework and you will find many options. ...Read more

Many herbs can help: Many herbs that have been proven to lower blood pressure, including hawthorne berries, garlic, polygonum cuspidatum (japanese knotweed, which has resveratrol), coleus forskohlii, chocolate, reishi & maitake mushrooms. However, each may only lower it a few points but can have combined benefits. Other useful measures include diets rich in fruits & vegetables, coq10, magnesium, exercise & meditation. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Not really: Most herbals are mild versions of the perscription treatment. Herbals are not regulated .Contrary to common beliefs herbals do have side effects and can interact with other meds.Make sure you tell your doctor if your on an herbal. I know it sounds better to most of us to be on an herbal rather than a perscription but would you eat mold for your strep throat or use penicillin? ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

None: There are no established herbal remedies for adhd. Those that are on the market are largely untested for both safety and efficacy. Most contain some sort of stimulant, typically caffeine, along with other unspecified ingredients. Caffeine may help, but it tends to be short acting. This is a disorder for which we have lots of effective and safe treatments that are well studied. ...Read more
So would I: There is NO scientific proof that pills, potions, ointments, emoluents, poltices, rubs, or snake oil are effective at treating gingivitis. Gingivitis is the earliest stage of gum disease and can usually be eliminated with scrupulous oral hygiene. See our Dentist or Hygienist for instructions, and don't waste your time or money on specious pie-in-the-sky products. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

No.: I have found that gynecomastia, if persistent, is often best treated with partial excision of the prominent glandular tissue as well as liposuction surgery of the peripheral chest area. If the prominence of the chest wall is caused by adipose tissue, then liposculpture surgery alone may suffice. For patients with excess skin, common after weight loss, skin excision may also be necesary. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
If a person who is not diabetic gets low blood sugar from taking a herbal medication, what would happen?
Is it safe to take kalms with zolift? Kalms is a anti stress herbal medication with velerian, hopps.?
Kalms + Zoloft (sertraline)?: Your "kalms" product does not even list the ingredients on it own web site. I had to check amazon.Com to find them. Valerian can theoretically inhibit the metabolism of zoloft (sertraline) if you take more than 1000 mg/day of valerian, and each tablet contains 45 mg valerian extract. I have no idea what parts of the plants they're using, etc. Bad label info, so i would stay away even if not on zoloft (sertraline). ...Read more

Herbal medication to take for sever sinusitis, headache pain that seems to be giving me teeth pain now. As well. Is that possible.?
Yes: If you have a severe sinus infection, that is not something to mess around with. As the pain increases there is a good chance you are also clenching your teeth more. I have seen many patients who thought they had a sinus infection and it turned out to be severe clenching pain. Unless you are improving rapidly, i would visit your md. If your teeth pain intensifies, see a tmj/bite dentist. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

16mo old son has diarrhea 4 the last 2 days and has caused a terrible rash. Prev medication ointment not working. Aloe & vaseline & powder not fixing?
Zind oxide: Irritative rashes from diarrhea in toddlers ae amongst the most stubborn rashes to cure. Try and get some daily air into that area - let him run around diaperless outside - who cares if he poops or pees on the lawn?
