Yeast infection: Thrush is a term that implies that you have involvement of the linings of your mouth. If that is the case you may want to check with a doctor and have your immune status assessed and be tested for STDs, including HIV. If this is just vaginal check with your friendly pharmacist. There are no "home remedies" likely to be of any value. Good luck and hope this clears up soon. ...Read more

Can vaginal yeast infections break the hymen?

No, but...: No, but it doesn't matter. Treat the yeast. Don't worry about the hymen. Usually, only in cases of alleged sexual assault upon girls and women do we physicians engage in the careful examination of hymens, collecting evidence of physical damage to be used later in courts of law. In normal everyday life, people should not be "checking hymens" nor thinking about whether they are broken or not broken. ...Read more

I'm allergic to yogurt, it causes me to have vaginal yeast infections. Though, I am craving it. Could I eat frozen yogurt instead?

Very unusual: The probiotic in yogurt may reduce yeast infection instead of inducing it. Since no itching was described at the vaginal area, an allergic reaction is less likely.
