Please clarify: Alum has no place in the use of vaginal problems. It is used for baking and pickling. Several other commercial uses are tanning, deodorants and textiles etc. Alum is not to be used for vaginal tightness. A couple of ideas: Of course the most common reason for this would be a yeast infection. If you've ruled that out, along with any other sort of infection, like UTI or bacterial vaginitis. Then another reason might be vulvodynia or vaginismus. Vaginismus is when the vagina tightens involuntarily. Pelvic floor therapy can help with this.
