Skin-on-skin rubbing: Skin tags may occur in areas where there is rubbing of skin on skin. Obese people may have more of a tendency to make skin tags. They can occur anywhere: necklines, underarms, waistline, between the legs. See answer : Skin tags are very common and generally occur after midlife. They are believed to be the result of skin rubbing against skin which is why they are generally found in skin creases and folds (neck, armpit, groin). I have a sore pea-sized lump to the left of my vaginal opening. I notice a clump of "skin tag" like skin @ the size of a quarter. No history of STD?

Poss cyst or wart?: If the painful lump to the left of your vaginal opening (introitus) is in the lower region and water balloon consistency, it may be a Bartholin Cyst or abscess. However id their is a skin tag like growth their, it may be a genital wart. Seek medical attention so your clinician can examine the area, and perform an excisional biopsy if necessary.
