You need to be: checked for an infection, possibly BV (bacterial vaginosis). BV is not particularly dangerous but suggests a significant disruption in the normal bacterial flora.The most important thing is to make sure you haven't acquired a more harmful sexually transmitted infection. See answer: I am not convinced that you have a UTI unless a urine culture has been done to verify it. A urinalysis alone would not be adequate and likely inaccurate given your description of vulva and vaginal redness and burning which is more consistent with a vulvovaginitis and which would contaminate any voided urine sample.
