Is it normal to have a pink spongy round tissue covering the vaginal opening? I m a virgin. Can it be hymen? But I heard hymen is inside so wat is this

Could be: This is one of those questions that requires an examination to see what you are seeing. An Obgyn should be able to do a quick external examination and determine if you are seeing your hymen or something abnormal. You could also look at pictures of a “hymen” on the internet and compare it to what you see on your self. ...Read more

I m a virgin but my vaginal opening is visible and not very small. Is this normal? Age 23.

I m a virgin but my vaginal opening is visible and not very small. Is this normal? Age 23.

"Small" means...: "Small" means different things to different people. A person should be able to see her vaginal opening by using a mirror. The hole will look bigger if she pulls on her labia to look at it. The hole will look smaller if she looks at it without pulling on her labia. She can ask her primary care doctor to look at her vaginal opening to help decide if there is any problem, which there probably is not. ...Read more

Thick mass of tissue at vaginal opening. Never been able to use tampons b/c of blockage. What is this abnormality and how is it fixed. I'm a virgin.

Probably the hymen: Since you are a virgin, this is probably your hymen. If you are having normal periods, it is probably a bit thicker than usual. I suggest you wait until you marry or decide to become sexually active and then see your physician to have the vaginal opening or orifice examined. ...Read more

I: I think what you are describing are the skene's glands ducts or the bartholin's glands ducts. The skene's glands are closer to the urethra (pee hole). The bartholin's glands are lower (closer to the base of the vagina. There are perfectly normal. Occasionally the ducts can get clogged and cause painful swelling that may get infection also. As long as non of these are happening, there is nothing to worry about. Thumbs up to you:). ...Read more

I can't see anything when I look in my vagina, I can't see vaginal opening but I have periods and I am virgin. What can be that? Will I bleed?

Some do: Some women will have a small amount of bleeding but this is not as common as popular culture would have you believe. I suspect the something that was blocking your view was in fact your hymen. Since you are having periods you will still be able to see a small opening. ...Read more

I m 22 yr old virgin. I noticed pink lumpy tissue above my vaginal opening no pain. Is it a bladder prolapse due to heavy weight lifting in gym?

Probably not...: Weight lifting would not induce bladder prolapse in a women with no childbirth at 22. What could that lump be? It may just normal and unique for you. M a virgin. I have a small vaginal opening. Only one finger can fit in. Is my vagina tight?

M a virgin. I have a small vaginal opening. Only one finger can fit in. Is my vagina tight?

Vaginas stretch: Vaginal openings stretch, sometimes a lot. So, just because a vaginal opening fits one finger doesn't mean it is tight. However, if one says that no matter what she does, no matter how much she tries to stretch it, she still cannot get two fingers in at the same time (and she is an adult), then the opening might be tight. Her primary care doctor can easily check. ...Read more

I'm a virgin, I have recently noticed that there is a squishy, pink and white ball looking thing in the opening of my vagina. Do you know what it is?

Maybe your hymen: You will need to see a doctor for an exam for confirmation. I am wondering though if you are seeing the hymenal ring. If so this a normal part of your anatomy. You may want to google a picture of the hymenal ring or a picture of a hymenal remnant and see if this is what you are seeing. ...Read more

That: That is very normal and is usually caused by fluctuation in hormones. It sounds like you are doing everything just right. This is a very common occurrence and you don't need to be worried. Wearing cotton underwear, avoiding hot baths or bubble baths, and the general hygiene you are already doing is exactly what you should be doing. You would only need to be concerned if you had a marked change in discharge or itching, which could be a yeast infection. ...Read more

Why does my vaginal opening hurt after sex?

Why does my vaginal opening hurt after sex?

Possibilities.: Hard to say without an exam, few more questions. If it is a new problem, sometimes it can be due to little tears that occur. Sometimes it can be due to poor lubrication - especially if a woman is near menopause and losing her normal estrogen production- which really affects the vaginal ability to lubricate and the skin to stretch normally. It could be due to muscle spasms of the vaginal muscles. ...Read more
