Hi I accidentally cut a mole on my vaginal area whilst shaving, the mole had bleed slightly, but now I have swelling around that area which is soar to the touch, can u help explain what this could mean??
Needs to be seen!: It is not so uncommon for a general ob/gyn to find moles or areas of skin pigmentation in the vaginal area on routine exams. While in most cases it is probably a benign finding, they might represent areas of 'dysplasia' or precancerous changes caused by hpv virus. The area should be examined and biopsied by an ob/gyn. I hope that this helps. ...Read more
They can be: I assume you mean outside the vagina, (which is called the vulvar area), which are quite common, but you should make sure you point them out to your gyn, because he or she can decide if any of them look like they need to be removed or biopsied, because sometimes they could be pre-malignant or rarely malignant like a melanoma. ...Read more

Brown growths around vaginal entrance, sore, painful, itchy, never had sex except self pleasing with sex toys, what could this be, pretty sure not moles?
See your doctor: It is hard to answer your question without an examination. It is concerning when moles change - change in size, color, become irregularly shaped, itch, bleed. Most moles are relatively easy to remove and test. Please see your primary doctor or a surgeon to see if this needs to be removed and tested. ...Read more

At 37+4wks what’s the likelihood of baby turning head down from Breech? Planned c-section at 38wks but wish baby turns so I can vaginally deliver
Breech at 37 weeks: It is very unlikely for the baby to turn to cephalic positioning at 37 weeks without a OB MD external version which many will not attempt so as not to cause the umbilical cord to wrap around the baby's neck as the baby is "engaged" in the pelvis already. Plan on your C/section at 38 weeks and hopefully enjoy a healthy baby. Good Luck! . ...Read more

Lump under skin with no head right on vaginal bone on top of vagina right above the split very painful???
Do I have to try a vaginal birth if I am expecting twins? Can I choose a c-section even if first one is head down?
Great question: Most ob's I work with consider vaginal birth for twins only with women who are delivering early and with all favorable indicators. They rather deliver them c-section than worry about the second twin hanging up in delivery. Discuss this with your OB and have a game plan ahead of time. Coming in during early labor may give you the most options. ...Read more

About fear...: Fear makes the head feel funny. As president Franklin D. Roosevelt once said about 80 years ago, "... let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself..." Medicine is full of uncertainties, so one must find a doctor to trust. If that doctor says don't worry, then fear not. A good doctor will let his patient know when the time comes to worry, no sooner and no later. ...Read more

Can I get hiv if vaginal fluid from my boxers touch the head of my penis or just very begining of uretha? No penetration of vagina at all.
No risk, no worries: You cannot catch HIV (or any other STD) from such exposure, even if the vaginal fluid is from an infected woman. Even with unprotected vaginal sex with an infected woman, lasting several minutes, on average HIV is transmitted only one chance in 2, 000. Herpes seems likely: Herpes rashes can take many forms -depending on the strain of virus and the host (the patient). It's possible you have some natural resistance to herpes, say if you already have HSV-1 the 'cold sore' virus. Herpes lesions (the rashes) usually are quite painful.
