May be constipation?: You may be constipated (especially if you are straining to have bowel movements). I would recommend plenty of water and use fiber therapy (Metamucil, etc.). There are other over the counter laxatives you may use. Hope this helps. ...Read more

See MD: Many types of bacteria make up the vaginal ecology. E coli is a normally found in the gut but certainly can cross contaminate the vagina. In multiple tests, many asymptomatic women are found with positive vaginal cultures for E coli, GBS and Staph. Since you have a malodorous discharge, antibiotics are indicated.
