Vagina Before After Childbirth
In many women yes: Because child birth does stretch it out and while it regains the majority of its former tightness, it is never quite the same after vaginal delivery, that is why many women have elective c-section now - to preserve the vagina from being stretched or from tearing also vaginal delivery in many women can lead to vagina and uterine prolapse and urine incontinence later in life taha can be fixed.
Probably not...: Probably not, your vagina will change from before you had children...But chances are it will not stay the same as when you were pregnant and delivering the baby. Generally speaking for most women, you will get close to normal about 6 weeks after a vaginal delivery.See 1 more doctor answer
Probably not: You need to see your provider to be sure. If you are talking about right after childbirth, the vagina was open and especially if you had a repair, may have some air that is coming out. If it has been a while (more than a few days), you may have a hole between your rectum and your vagina, which would need to be fixed at some point (sometimes we wait a few months to see if it will heal).
Probably: Childbirth is traumatic to the pelvic floor. The vagina is very elastic and will return to near normal after delivery. Some women have very little detrimental effect on the vagina and pelvic floor as a result of a vaginal delivery - others end up with significant utero-vaginal prolapse and eventually require surgical repair for the pelvic relaxation.
Some do.: Every body is different which means that every vagina is different too. Some women feel a difference in how their body looks and feels after a baby. I have a few women who come in and complain that their partners find it very different. Most don't find it bad, just different.
Vaginal tightness: To tighten the vagina I suggest trying kiegel exercises which strengthen the pelvic diaphragm. There is an operation called vaginal rejuvenation which can accomplish the same thing surgically.
Vaginal rejuvenation: Yes, but I would think long and hard before doing it. It's typically referred to as vaginal rejuvenation (as if your vagina needs rejuvenating) and involves surgery to tighten the introitus (vaginal opening) and, if necessary, correct loose or sagging walls. It can lead to painful scarring and painful intercourse and is not recognized by the american congress of obgyns.
Will your vagina be as tight as it once was before childbirth? I'm worried it will not be as pleasurable for my husband since I've always been tight.
Changes: Just as your abdominal wall is never quite the same after a pregnancy your vagina is never quite the same after a vaginal delivery. How much change varies from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy. With both exercises can be done to help after the baby is born. There's little change in vaginal tightness if the baby is born by Cesarean section but this isn't a reason to do a Cesarean.
Gartner's duct cyst removal: are any incisions made in the abdomen or do they go in through the vagina? How long for healing? Affect childbirth later?
Vagina: This is a very simple surgery with only a vaginal incidion. The healing time is very rapid and should require no time off of work. It will have no effect on future pregnancy.
I feel I have a bad case of rectal prolapse. I cannot pass stool without pushing my thumb down in my vagina to brace this has been going on for years, but not as far back as the last childbirth. I'm 60 this year but fit and active. As stool passes I can f
After my child's birth, my vagina has loosened. How do I get a tight vagina like before the child birth?
Opening: The vagina is not supposed to be "tight" it's good to have a strong pelvic floor as this can prevent prolapse and incontinence. Kegels can be done to strengthen the floor. Narrowing of the vagina can occur with large reconstructive mesh, radiation andold age. Vaginal "tightening" as promoted by a small group of gynos is an interest driven primarily by porn. Biofeedback may help if keyes dont.
I have severe pain in my vagina bones, feels like somebody is pulling down on them another way to descibe the pain is child birth please help! ?
Pelvic pain: Pelvic pain can be due to infection, tumors, falling bladders, etc. So see a gyn md to sort out your symptoms.
Between my anus and vagina looks to be swollen and blue looking is this due to child birth over a year ago? Still sore
When im sitting down and I fart, I feel like air bubble leave near my vagina lips. Is this fistula? No surgery or child birth?
Not likely: A fistula is not likely in this situation. When you pass gas, it has to go somewhere. If you're sitting down, it's likely some of the air travels *ahem* forward and causes that sensation. If you're worried, your GYN take a look. Fístulas aren't very common in young, healthy patients.
Myriad of ways: Some breasts get bigger with childbirth and nursing and stay larger, and some become smaller than original. Some breasts remain the same. Some vaginas are unaffected by childbirth. In others, tears, and the subsequent repairs of those tears causes scarring. Sometimes this narrows the vagina, making the opening smaller. And of course, some women have stretching of the vaginal tissue.
True that vaginas expand immensely and look very different from what they used to before childbirth? Or do they go back to normal size? (Not hymen)
Back to normal size: Women (and their body parts) usually go back to "normal size" after delivering a baby. The issue here is actually, "What is normal size? " What is normal after having one baby, is not the same as what was normal before having a baby. Likewise, a NORMAL 30 year-old woman does not have the same identical features as a NORMAL 20-year-old woman. Everyone changes over time and through events.
