Uti medicine can cause false positive STD test?

Uti medicine can cause false positive STD test?

Two questions. Could a yeast infection cause one to urinate more often? And can a UTI affect a pregnancy test to come out false?

Two questions. Could a yeast infection cause one to urinate more often? And can a UTI affect a pregnancy test to come out false?

Probably no and no: A yeast infection can cause inflammation of the urethra and certainly make urination more painful. A UTI can certainly cause you to urinate more frequently because your bladder is irritated and wants to stay as empty as possible. A UTI has no effect on the accuracy of a pregnancy test. ...Read more

I'm getting dark brown discharge. Went to get checked for STIS came out negative. Was positive for a UTI. I'm not pregnant. Is my UTI the cause?

I'm getting dark brown discharge. Went to get checked for STIS came out negative. Was positive for a UTI. I'm not pregnant. Is my UTI the cause?

Likely not UTI: Kourtney, dark brown vaginal discharge would not be a common sign of a UTI. Classic UTI symptoms would be burning with peeing, peeing frequently, or increased urgency. Occasionally women can get blood in the urine which can be brownish, but it would be rare to have vaginal discharge. You should check with your ObGyn or see a specialist in Urogyn/Female Urology. ...Read more

Fine for now: This is a standard treatment that is well studied. There is no evidence that it hurts a human infant in early pregnancy. We do not use it toward the end of pregnancy near the time of birth. (it can interfere with the clearance of bilirubin in the newborn period after the cord is clamped and mothers system is not cleanin babies blood of waste products) ...Read more

Ask your doctor....: How have you feel in the way you pee? What are the keys reasons for you in struggling for caring for UTI. By symptoms or by urine culture or both? In my opinion, your doctors should be the one able to sort these issues out for you since they possess more info on you than anyone online. May be: Increased vascularity in the pelvis, especially congestion in the urinary bladder due to fetal position may have been responsible for the few red cells in urine.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. ...Read more
