Uterus size by week during pregnancy - Doctor answers
My uterus is the size of 12 week pregnancy and I've had heavy, long periods. 2 years ago I had the Mirena put in. During a heavy period, it came out?
Mirena ejection: The uterus needs to be examined for uterine fibroids by ultrasound or pelvic exam at this 12 weeks size. The Mirena was ejected due to a possible intrauterine cavity abnormality caused by fibroids and when cramping occurred- out came the Mirena. The heavy bleeding can cause anemia so see a GYN MD soon. ...Read more

Why would the top of my uterus be 2-3 inches higher than the belly button level its supposed to be at 20 weeks during my 3rd pregnancy?
At 20 weeks during a 3rd pregnancy, where is the top of the uterus usually located in relation to the belly button with a singleton pregnancy?

No period in 1 month and a half had pains everyday around uterus especially during sex. Pregnancy said no a week ago could I be and it not showing up?
I think I had a miscarriage but I want to know the difference between a gestation sac after 3 week pregnancy or a uterus lining during a period.
See your dr: If its only been a little bit of time since you had bleeding that was either a miscarriage or a period, the doctor can check a test to see if you are still making pregnancy hormones (which you may be if it was a miscarriage). If you don't want to be pregnant, you should talk with your dr about birth control choices. If you do want to be pregnant, plan ahead, start prenatal vitamins, and be health. ...Read more
Doctor said my uterus size would be at 5 weeks pregnant but got negative pregnancy tests then put me on birth control? What if I am pregnant?
I had a transvaginal ultrasound, diagnosis is normal sized anteverted uterus with thickened endometrium (17.6 mm), normal both ovaries, no free fluid in cul de sac, with a positive pregnancy test, suggested follow up in 2 weeks? What could this mean?
Before pregnancy: The endometrial lining of your uterus actually thickens in the second half of your menstrual cycle (the secretory phase) after ovulation, in preparation for pregnancy, as a result of an increase in the hormone progesterone. If you do not get pregnant, your Progesterone level drops, and your uterine lining sheds and is expelled during menses (your period). The cycle then starts over. ...Read more

My doc said that I have anverted uterus and size is 6.8, 3.5, 2.8 cms Is it normal or not? And what position should adopt to get fast pregnancy?
Normal: Every uterus is tilted in one way or another. Anteverted or tilted forward is the most common. Uterine size rarely matters in pregnancy unless there is a presence of large fibroid tumors or other genetic abnormalities. Positioning of sex does not matter much. Timing is everything. Sex around ovulation will increase chances of preg. For further answers, about timing etc, schedule a consult ...Read more
