Uterus Measuring Large For Gestational Age
My ob tells me that my uterus is measuring big for how far along I am with my pregnancy, is that bad?
Maybe: Sometimes being bigger is normal. For instance if you or your husband is above average height, then your baby may be above average for growth as well. Concerns come in when you might have diabetes or some other pregnancy complication that would make the growth abnormal. Speak with your doctor so you understand any risks that you/baby might have. My ultrasound tvs is small single gestational sac is seen in gravid uterus but no foetal node seen. Gestational age is 4 weeks. Is it wrry sign?
I am 29 weeks pregs. Fetal gestational age is already above 31 weeks. But my uterus size is only 27-28 weeks. I hope things are normal. Pls advice?
I am 29 & this my 2nd pregnancy. The first one was ectopic. The sonographic report says anteverted uterus bulky. Gestational age 4.5 weeks. Worry?
Diagnosing ectopic: That ultrasound report is not very helpful. It's usually impossible to see a gestational sac at 4.5 weeks. Making the diagnosis of ectopic may require serial blood tests to watch the HCG hormone levels rise, and repeat ultrasounds. As a guideline, when your HCG level reaches about 1200, you should be able to see a tiny gestational sac in the uterus. Good luck! ...Read more

Complicated: This is a very complicated and relatively rare condition. You should speak with your ob/gyn about it. Healthtap is great but any advice on that subject you get is not going to be very well informed. A doctor needs to read your medical chart, see the results of lab test and know more about your history. Consult a doctor who knows the entire story. ...Read more
