Ebola in the USA: Here in the U.S.A. we're much more fortunate than in Western Africa, where Ebola is out of control. Sure it seems frightening, but our medical system has the capability and know-how to shut this case down. Only someone who is sick can transmit the disease, so common sense measures of staying healthy apply. Fear can become a 'disease' of its own, use knowledge to overcome it. ...Read more

Tmj surgeon in utah I am looking for a recommendation for an excellent TMJ surgeon in the salt lake city area. Your help is appreciated.
Some suggestions: I agree with the comments made by dr. Firebaugh. In my opinion, TMJ surgery should only be considered as a last resort when all other treatment modalities have been completely exhausted. Even then, there are no guarantees and prognosis is guarded. That is not to say that you might not need or benefit from it. I would suggest some 2nd opinions from TMJ skilled\experienced drs. First! ...Read more

Why do neurosurgeon say no to fix two small angionomas with lesion and they won't do MRI to see if it is a brain tumor starting live in Utah.
Not every angioma needs an MRI or MRA to be evaluated. If there is a clear angioma on CT scan, and it is small, an MRI would probably not help. And in such a case, surgery could do more harm than good.
If the diagnosis is not certain, than an MRI or MRA can help determine what it is. Do you mean a cavernous hemangioma?
It should be removed only if it is deemed to be a risk. ...Read more
