No: If the pool is maintained well then the chlorine or other chemicals in the water will protect you from any disease organisms. I believe I have contracted a ringworm from a public swimming pool a week ago. Everyday it gets more pus inside of it, surrounding the ringworm?

Doctor can evaluate: Ringworm on the skin is a fungal infection of the surface of the skin, called a Tinea corporis infection. It generally does not get pus inside it. A pus-forming infection more often has bacteria as the cause. Thus, a doctor should look at the skin problem and offer a diagnosis and treatment.

Can you swim in a public swimming pool with an std?

Can you swim in a public swimming pool with an std?

STDs: The reason they are named stds is that they are sexually transmitted, so unless you are having sex in the public swimming pool (and this really happens), this is very very unlikely. Would need far more info to try and answer your question in further detail. My suggestion is that if you feel you were exposed to an std go and see a doctor, be examined and tested thoroughly. Good luck.
