Smartxide co2, day 7: old skin is peeling, and the skin under it is much more brighter than my skin colour, will it be by skin colour?

Skin after laser CO2: The skin after co2 tx is always red then turns pink for several weeks before it settles to a more normal skin color. It is normal for the skin to peel as well. It is important to keep the skin very moist, to avoid any unnecessary or prolonged sun exposure, and to apply an abundant amount of sunscreen at this time. There are topical growth factors that can be applied to speed up the recovery. ...Read more

Are objects placed on skin (spoons, metals, plastic, etc.) that stick to skin (chest and forehead) normal, common, or rare? Is it a skin condition?

Are objects placed on skin (spoons, metals, plastic, etc.) that stick to skin (chest and forehead) normal, common, or rare? Is it a skin condition?

Objects and skin: If someone is able to stick objects to skin and is able to keep them suspended there, this would certainly not be considered to be within the realm of the norm. I have heard of such cases but I would think they would be discovered only within the realm of "Ripleys Believe It or Not" or Circuses, and I would imagine the reason for this phenomenon, is unknown. ...Read more

Is co2 laser skin resurfacing safe for the genital and breast areas? I'm a 28-year-old model and was wondering whether co2 laser is safe for smoothing skin in the genital and breast areas (like skin tags).

Is co2 laser skin resurfacing safe for the genital and breast areas? I'm a 28-year-old model and was wondering whether co2 laser is safe for smoothing skin in the genital and breast areas (like skin tags).

CO2 : Co2 is a strong resurfacing laser with risks if not done correctly. Because you would be targeting areas that do not heal well, i would not recommend any type of laser for either area. If you have only a few skin tags, then an electrodessication would work quickly and create the least problems. Dermatologists use an small devise that quickly burns off skin tags. The further away from the face, the longer it takes the skin to heal because there are fewer hair follicles which speed up tissue healing. Be careful. You don't want to end up with scarring or infections. ...Read more

Why is the skin so soft on newborns?

Why is the skin so soft on newborns?

Newborn skin: There are several reasons. First, the fetus is covered with a "wax" that prevents maceration from amniotic fluid. This softens skin. How to have soft and nice looking skin specially in face?

How to have soft and nice looking skin specially in face?

No magic...: There are many factors related to soft, even, young-looking skin. By far the one with the greatest impact is sun avoidance. Good moisturization, avoidance of irritants, anti-wrinkle creams can all be helpful, but the one "treatment" that will have the most lasting and protective value is daily sun protection. Is there any natural way 2 keep ur skin smooth and soft?

Is there any natural way 2 keep ur skin smooth and soft?

Smooth skin: Coconut oil is used to help brain function. It also helps with dry skin in the winter time when ingested. It looks like a jar of lard but tastes good enough--not as good as an easter egg. You can put it in hot cereal in the morning and even cook and bake with it. It heats up easily so be careful when cooking with it. Shea butter on skin helps. Avoid lotions w/alcohol in them. ...Read more
