Can I take 10mg melatonin and use magnesium oil for sleep? I should be okay because they're both natural, right?
Might help: Give these a try to see if they can help your insomnia. They have no side effects and should not be a problem. These are both refined products and are not quite natural any more than white sugar is "not" natural. The definitions of natural are very nebulous and undefined so beware of depending too much on this labeling. Poison ivy is certainly natural, but that does not mean it is not toxic. ...Read more

Can the night time use of melatonin lead to daytime fatigue? I take it at 7:30pm, go to bed at 9pm and wake at 5am.
Maybe in some people: Some people who used melatonin have complained of daytime sleepiness as a side effect, among some other mild side effects. However, people use melatonin to treat sleep problems and jet lag, which means these people are already having daytime sleepiness or daytime fatigue problems. That makes it hard to figure out. One can try changing the dose and/or the timing of the dose to see what happens. ...Read more

I'm always a fan of discontinuing regular use of it because it works best when taken only as needed ...Read more
