Stick w/ hydroxyzine: These medicines are very similar and both should work for your nausea. Instead of mixing meds, just stick with the Hydroxyzine for both anxiety and nausea. Deep sea fishing: use transderm scop (scopolamine) or dramamine?

I prefer scop patch: I find that transderm scop (scopolamine) is both well tolerated and effective. Perhaps even better is half a scop patch, but if you do this, carefully wash your hands after cutting / applying to keep the scopolamine off your fingers & out of your eyes. Another prescription favorite is zofran (ondansetron) which is quite effective for nausea. ...Read more

Is it safe to use over-the-counter painkillers and Dramamine (dimenhydrinate) simultaneously? Is there a painkiller that is preferable to the others?

Is it safe to use over-the-counter painkillers and Dramamine (dimenhydrinate) simultaneously? Is there a painkiller that is preferable to the others?

Since you are: Taking Proton Pump inhibitors (eg Prilosec) I assume you have a stomach issue thus many OTC pain medications should be avoided (eg IBUPROFEN, MOTRIN, ALEEVE) You can use Dramamine with any of these (Dramamine is an anti-histamine) I would suggest TYLENOL (acetaminophen) in the higher strength every 8 hours is your best OTC "bet")
Hope this helps!
