Urine Pus Cells 10 12 Hpf
How to translate 9 x10^6/Litre RBC in urine microscopic analysis lab report to something like RBC/HPF .
Easier to Measure It: You would have to make some assumptions about the scope being used. Assuming that the scope being utilized gives you 2200 HPF/ml this would transplate into 4cells/hpf. ...Read more

Probably reactive: You are anemic and the numbers are suspicious for iron deficiency. If you are a healthy 34 year-old who menstruates regularly, you could easily be low in iron. The plaelet count is very high, but is likely reacting to the low iron and should come down if it is replaced. The elevated white cells (WBC) is not as easy to understand. Inflamation, infection, other? Could use more info. Good luck. ...Read more

Other times they may only suggest subtle abnormalities. It is important to review lab results with ones doctor as the context means more than the numbers. ...Read more
My dad 70 yrs has macrocytic anemia. Hemoglobin 9.5, hematocrit 28. Hematologist gave maltofer pill a day. In a month hemoglobin 10 hematocrit 30?
What is the question: Please rephrase your question to get a better answer. Please discuss in detail with his hematologist. The fact that hematologist gave the iron- means that your hematologist thinks there is a component of iron deficiency. So, continue iron and f/u with your md. However, it does not fit exactly with macrocytosis. Other work up still needs to be done to see explanation for macrocytosis. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

White blood cells found in urine sample, waiting for urine cultures to come back. What does this mean?
Ask the Dr: A few WBC is normal. You neglected to include enough information for any answer. How many WBC? Symptoms? Other findings in urine? Without the answers to these questions the result of the culture is useless. There are varieties of urinary infections. For simple cystitis in a young, sexually active woman, a culture is not indicated. For an elderly woman with no symptoms the culture is useless. ...Read more

Urine test results: urine blood 3+, urine protein trace. Are these normal, or should I be concerned? Currently being worked up for low h/h (7.2/27)
Follow advice: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, 3+ blood in urine and h/h of 7.2/27 are not normal. Make sure to follow your doctor's advice about tests and treatments. ...Read more

I am 55 female. urine report shows pus cell- 6-8/HPF, R.C.B'S- 1-2/HPF, EPITHELIAL CELLS 8-10/HPF. is tht normal?
Contaminated urine: If the urine was collected using good cleaning prior to urination, then it is not normal. If a woman does not use a good clean catch technique then the urine can be contaminated from surrounding secretions. There being more epithelial cells than blood cells indicates that this was most likely a contaminated urine specimen. The urine test should be repeated using good clean catch technique. ...Read more
I am a 20 years male.my urine test show pus cell 8-10/HPF and epithelial cells are 3-4/HPF.What can I do now?I will be happy if you answer myquestion.
Contaminated sample?: This could be an infection, including the possibility of an STD. However, it could have been a contaminated specimen if not a careful midstream collection, or if you are uncircumcised and did not retract your foreskin when you voided for the sample. Contact the doctor who ordered the test and discuss repeat urinalysis and/or other tests, e.g. gonorrhea and chlamydia if at risk for STD. Good luck! ...Read more
Pus: Pus is composed of decayed material and largely white blood cells. 4-5 per high power field is a relatively low amount. 3-4-0-2 HIKE!!!: If you don't have any symptoms I wouldn't worry. If you have symptoms, like PWP (Pain While Pissing) I'd need to know a little more about you.
