Could high calcium in the blood and intake of levothyroxine for hypothyroid be cause of strong foul odor in urine? I drink ~3 6oz cups of water a day

Could high calcium in the blood and intake of levothyroxine for hypothyroid be cause of strong foul odor in urine? I drink ~3 6oz cups of water a day

Unlikely: Neither high calcium nor levo. Will cause foul odor. Most common cause of dark, strong urine is dehydration. You should be drinking minimum of 100 ounces of fluids/day or enough to keep urine color fairly clear, not only to help lower calcium but to prevent kidney stones . Other causes of foul urine are UTI and certain foods and meds. A urinalysis and culture can determine if UTI present. ...Read more

How can I go about treating so many issues at once: lyme, candida, interstitial cystitis, high blood uric acid and urine protein, hypothyroidism, etc.

How can I go about treating so many issues at once: lyme, candida, interstitial cystitis, high blood uric acid and urine protein, hypothyroidism, etc.

Holistic approach: Unraveling multiple issues is complex & a bit like a game of pick up sticks- you need to be careful about the order. Lyme & candida may be the cause of ic, but it may be necessary to detox heavy metals to treat those. Antibiotics for lyme can aggravate candida. It's best to start with basic support- balance hormones, detox, correct nutrient deficiencies.I advise working with a skilled holistic doc. ...Read more

Are there any treatments for hemophilia factor 8 or anything I should worry about ? Nose bleeds a lot, hematuria in urine every, hypothyroid on meds

Yes: It is essential you have a hematologist to help you. Hemophilia can be very different in severity from person to person. It can range from occassional nose bleeds and joint bleeds, to life-threatening hemorrhages that are fatal. There are good medicines to help stop active bleeding, and ways to help prevent bleeds from occurring. Once again, establish a relationship with a hematologist. ...Read more

How do you remove urine odor from skin down there?

Hygiene: If you are talking about usual urine odor that is present in some folks, i would suggest to exercise proper hygiene, to begin with. After each urine passage, you will need to wipe yourself from front to back, either using a wet hand or toilet tissue. If it is still the problem after you've done it, you will need to use more water (get in the shower) and rinse whatever remnants of urine are hiding. ...Read more
