I have strong smelling, cloudy, dark urine. I am retaining fluids in my lower extremities although I drink plenty of water, not dehydrated. Problem?

Uti : A smelly and cloudy urine suggest urinary tract infection, specially if accompanied by burning sensation when you urinate. This should be diagnosed with urinalysis and culture. As for retaining of fluids on lower extremities it could be from a kidney disease that is associated with the cloudy urine, like nephrotic syndrome, or other problems like liver and cardiac disease. ...Read more

Passing urine is becoming a problem. Only if i drink excess water, I am able to discharge with decent flow. Else it burns and discharge is slow.

6.5 litres excessive: 10 glasses or 80 oz water including other beverages should suffice. Frothy urine likely due to forceful stream & increase distance when UR standing. Protein in urine can also be cause of excessive frothiness which in your case is unlikely but can easily be tested by simple urinalysis. 1st urination in am is most reliable. ...Read more
