Worried about my urine color. Light green. I am taking Zoloft pill to start my period & xanax (alprazolam). No symptoms of uti. Just finished anti biotics 4 uti?
Hard to say: But i would ask the gynecologist who is prescribing for you. Haven't heard of this with either zoloft or xanax, (alprazolam) but green food colorings that are used in some pills could do this, or it could be from certain foods, like brocolli and asparagus. Rare, the following:: Medications: amitriptylene, indomethacin, propofol, occasionally Nitrofurantoin (more commonly bright yellow). Occasional psudomonas UTI causes green urine. Embarassing, but my urine is green for the last 2 days. I've not eaten anything with dye in it, or anything out of the norm. Help?
Difficult to say why: Different food reactions however alter the pH of urine without having to have eaten dye in food. The change of pH would render a substance more soluble in urine and that may change the color. Remember in science class the litmus paper changes color with change of ph.
