See a urologist.: For now, I would not discontinue the medication as prescribed, as there might be other information that indicates infection. Hopefully a urine culture was sent, which will confirm the diagnosis. Few issues here: Well first of all you need to drink more water you are indeed dehydrated. Now not sure if you had vomiting or diahrea but you did not state so. The other issue is the blood you need to hydrate. And then give another yrine specimen to see if the blood is gone. Very important for you to do this. More tests needed.: Your initial investigations may not be complete. After a CT scan is negative, should the hematuria be persistent, i.e. not just due to a treatable infection or a kidney stone that may pass, you'd need a cystoscopy wherein they put a camera into the bladder via the urethra and look at the bladder under direct visualization. ...Read more
