Wry neck: You may have a wry neck as a result of your uri. Lie flat in bed when you go to sleep, without a pillow. Apply a heating pad set on low so you don't burn yourself while you are sleeping. Take Ibuprofen for the pain.It should take about a week to get better. ...Read more

URI: Sounds like a viral infection. Did your gp provide you with a nebulizer and albuterol for the coughing? We try not to recommend otc cough suppressants for the very young due to side effects. If his cough is due to drainage, you could try some saline drops to the nose and bulb suction. A warm heating pad to the chest could also help as could humidity. ...Read more

Told take decongestant for URI w/ sinus infection & laryngitis. Won't it make the laryngitis worse? Saw ENT & no vocal cord issues but got prednisone.

Likely safe, but...: Seems like you have already been seen by at least one physician and maybe more than one.The best time to ask questions about med recommendations and review concerns is with the physician prescribing the treatment.So i would contact your physician mainly. In general using decongestants may be helpful, or may not. Studies are not impressive. Hydrate, avoid smoke, consider saline irrigation.Talk to doc. ...Read more
