Possible IBS: To provide the best advice we would need to have you compile a bowel diary including dietary intake as well as consistency and estimated frequency of stools. Likely functional: Most times these symptoms represent a functional disorder such as ibs. Need a rectal look: This could all be from constipation and stool in the rectum leading to a feeling of needing to go - but with the stool so hard it doesn't pass easily (and mucous is the body's natural lubricant in this situation). TTYD, Stool studies.: You should relay your symptoms to a doctor / gastroenterologist by visit or via HealthTap Prime. The urgency & stool consistency sounds like colitis (inflammation of the colon). Have you been on antibiotics recently (past 6 months)? Bile: use to get stored in the gallbladder till you had a high fat meal and gallbladder contracted releasing bile into your intestines. Now the bile has no where to collect and in effect drips into your intestines irrespective of food presence. This can cause loose stools. Post-chole diarrhea: Unfortunately, diarrhea after gallbladder surgery is a known complication.
