Why do I get urethra pain?
After I masturbate and urinate afterwards, I get a strong pain in my urethra. Why is that?
Possible prostatitis: You may have prostatitis or non-specific urethritis. I would recommend that you have an examination by a qualified provider. It is possible that you have acute prostatitis. Other things to consider would be a urethral stricture or injury to the urethra. Bottom line, get it checked out if symptoms persist. ...Read more
Urethra pain from CPPS tends to resolve on its own? Or need internal therapy for trigger point release and stretch? 3months+
What can cause urethra pain in a mail if he has had tests showing no abnormalities and has taken cipro (ciprofloxacin) and his culture is now negative.?
Complicated: He should seriously consider seeing a urologist. Although probably harmless and something that will resolve with time and good diet, this could be something more serious that needs to be treated. Meanwhile, continue using condoms, even though the tests are "negative". Always play it on the safe side; you don't want to play ping pong with chlamydia, an infection that can affect your fertility. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
2 vaginal cultures a month apart were pos for BV. Took Flagyl, no help. Why would it not cure it? Also, does BV cause urethra pain? That's my symptom.
Bacterial vaginosis: Recurrent/persistent BV is very common and frustrating. BV doesn't cause urethral pain. Trichomonas can mimic BV, but also should respond to metronidazole (Flagyl). Other STDs (gonorrhea, chlamydia) are more common in women with BV; make sure you were tested. If none of these, ask about alternate BV treatments (e.g. clindamycin, boric acid). Also avoid sex or consistent condoms for a few weeks. ...Read more

Tested pos for BV. Could this be the cause of my bladder, pelvic, urethra pain for past 2 months? I have NO discharge, NO odor. No UTI, by the way.
Probably unrelated: Asymptomatic BV is common, and normally not treated in the absence of symptoms. BV is not a cause of bladder, pelvic or urethral pain. I'm afraid you'll have to continue working with your doctor on this. I would understand trying BV treatment with metronidazole, as a trial with fingers crossed. But I really would not expect this to improve your various symptoms. Good luck! ...Read more

Internal pain: Localization of pain inside our bodies is difficult because nerves follow a map from early in evolution. So the ureter that connects the kidney to the bladder is not where it used to be. When stretched at the top we feel it high in the back where it attaches to the kidney. As something moves down we feel it wrap around to the front and down to our groin. Urethral pain is from the procedure itself ...Read more
