Cults: Cults try to dictate how members think, feel, and behave. There is unquestioning loyalty to the leader. The group claims elitist status for itself. Leader is considered a special being, a messiah. Members are encouraged to devote huge amounts of time to the group & its activities. Members are discouraged from having relationships with those outside the cult. Does any of this sound familiar? ...Read more

Culture/Gram's stain: Depends upon whether these were from the culture or the stain of some clinical material, where the culture was obtained from, and why. This may be an entirely inconsequential result or possibly represent severe illness, but would need far more info to say. Discuss this with the doctor who cultured you. If this was from your tonsil it is probably Strep and you should have been treated. Get better. ...Read more
How quickly does a cyanide-laced drink kill a person? Thousands died in a 1978 cult after consuming. Does it kill instantly or after several minutes?
Dose and delivery:
Cyanide in the form of hydrogen cyanide gas, if delivered in enough concentration will kill very quickly. Oral intake as in the case of CoolAid drinkers may seconds to minutes, depending on the dose. In either case it is a terrible way to die.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
Practice safe sex. ...Read more

Hi! Today I donate blood but I can't complete it because it cults . Age 29 blood pressure 120:80.what may be the reason ??
Blood donation: Blood donors need to be in the best of health, so thescreening exam and tests are strict. If your donation clotted before completion, it may be due to slow flow or a mechanical problem with the set-up. A hyper-clotting disorder is much less likely. I suggest you just try again after the appropriate wait period. ...Read more

3 viruses conf by cult. Fever. Hov @ 101. Day 4. Pulmicort caused fever. Dr wants to keep giving it. Should he be hospitalized? Help please.
Depends: Whether one should be hospitalized or not depends on the severity of the asthma. Although Pulmicort is not expected to cause a fever, there many other inhaled steroids available and thus it does no harm to just switch it to something else including inhaled steroid. Consider seeing a pediatric allergist . ...Read more

CULT & GRAM STAIN SPUTUM ,is this type of test is good to look for actinomyces ,mold and fungis?I
Need more info: This organism can be difficult to isolate since they are facultative anaerobes, but the Gram's stain of clinical materials is usually very very suggestive, depending upon the site from which the specimen was obtained. This is a common cause of osteomyelitis of the bones of the jaw. Routine cultures are not a good way to look for molds and other fungi except for yeast-like fungi. Good luck. ...Read more
If an X-ray state infiltrate, is the diagnosis pneumonia of should a culture and sensitivity be ordered? Could the infiltrate be something other like edema, blood clot and etc. So getting a sensitivity and culture be the thing to do? Infiltrate= need cult
Clinical dx: The DX of a pneumonia (pna) is based on clinical findings, confirmed by several lab findings which may also include a culture of sputum. In the community, most docs don't obtain a culture and will immediately treat with antibiotics (abx). A pna developing in the healthcare setting may be resistant to certain abx , so a culture should be obtained. A cxr alone is not sufficient to DX a pna. ...Read more
I had abscess near tonsil that was soft.no fever.pharyngitis.took antibiotics so got shrink.is it all cured?can antibiotics cure abscess?cult:stph aur
Small Abscesses: The staph aureus culture result suggests the the abscess drained, which is part of the treatment. Small abscesses may respond to antibiotics, but drainage by needle aspiration or scalpel incision may be required. Small peritonsillar abscesses can be treated with clindamycin. If it so large that the uvula is pushed to the side, needle drainage is attempted as well. Drainage alone can be the cure. ...Read more
CULT FUNGI Result
1 Colony Sterile mold, does not produce conidia necessary for identification.
1 Colony Yeast not Cryptococcus neoformans.Explain ?
Petri dish jargon: This is the microbiologist's report on two single colonies of different fungi. One is a yeast form and one is a mould. Neither can be identified as to what 'species' it is, but it doesn't matter since these are what we call 'contaminants'. I suspect this was a 'sputum' sample? This occurs quite commonly in those specimens. If you're not feeling well, good to see the doc who ordered the test. ...Read more

I got unprotected oral sex 2 weeks ago. BPH and prior prostatitis. 1 week ago I noticed urinary retention. UA16pmn, cult-. Cipro x2d. STD tests now?
Not an STD problem: No STD causes urinary retrention. Also, 2 weeks is too long for symptoms from a new urethral infection. Almost certainly this is unrelated to the oral sex event, just a coincidence your BPH and prostatitis symptoms occurred at this time. If you have a urinary tract infection, ciprofloxacin may help, but not beause of STD. And no point in STD tests on cipro; they would be negative and meaningless. ...Read more
Got oral sex 1/14, on 1/23 noticed urinary retention. On 1/27, MD thought I had prostatitis (UA with 16PMN/HPF, cult-) & began cipro. No change. STD?
No STD see urologist: Unless there is a suprising coincidence, you asked about this a few days ago. No STD is a likely cuase of urinary retention or prostatitis. It's just a coincidence with the oral sex. Also, most prostatitis is not due to infection. Cipro and other antibiotics often are tried but usually don't help much. Keep working with your doctor, or see a urologist if not yet done. ...Read more
