Requires diagnosis: From the brief description of the symptoms it could be either a calcium deficiency that can cause muscle cramps, an associated neuropathy or some variant of a restless leg syndrome. Numb Limb: You are somehow cutting off the blood supply to the nerves that supply the limb. Most likely by compressing the nerve. Try to sleep in different positions or put pillow between yur legs or under your arm. Typically this should not cause any long term problems provided it only happens with you lay on it funny and resolves immediately when you change positions. ...Read more
