How would I know if I have slipping rib syndrome? I've had upper left abdominal pain, rib pain, and sternum pain for 5 wks. Also get chest pain.

I Randomly get rib pain on my left side this happens maybe 4-5 times a day mostly when I'm sitting down ?

Left rib pain: May be reflux from stomach. or gas from colon ( it is that high up), may have food intolerances, avoid alcohol caffeine, energy drinks, smoking, consider trial of ranitidine or prevecid- if not allergic. may be costochondirits ( if you press does it hurt?) - rarely cardiac/pericarditis, or lymph nodes.
